Terms & Conditions

1. Insurance

All our vehicles are comprehensively insured, but clients are liable to a certain amount in case of any accident caused by client including “hit-and-run or unknown cases” and evidenced by a damage police report that should be obtained by the client. Otherwise client won’t be covered and will bear all the liabilities.

This Liability will be limited to QAR 1000 and Clients have the option to purchase SCDW (Super Collision damage waiver and Premium Protection package to waive the same

3. Replacement Vehicles:

Client must call Europcar Qatar C-Ring Road office once his/her vehicle reaches the due service according to the odometer mentioned on the available sticker. Europcar will arrange for servicing of his/her vehicle and provide him/her with a replacement vehicle at no extra cost.   

5. Accidents:

Under normal circumstances the car should not be moved until police have arrived and given permission for this to be done. This condition is waived if the accident does not result in injuries to people or serious damage to vehicles. In such a situation vehicle must be moved to ease traffic flow.  It is the client’s responsibility to obtain the accident report and repair permit from police and hand it over to Europcar Qatar representative; failing to obtain the said documents and giving it to Europcar will held the client liable to pay all the repair charges resulted from the said accident.

6. Traffic Violations & Government penalties

All costs incurred as a result of Traffic fines and other penalties (imposed by the traffic police or any other authorities for traffic violations) that takes place during the rental period will be the renter's responsibility and would be accordingly recovered. There will be an additional service charge of 07% on top of any Traffic Fine.

7. Fuel

All our vehicles must be filled with fuel type that is super or special (unless differently indicated on vehicle’s book). At the time of vehicle’s off-hire and replacement, client has to fill the fuel tank same as of vehicle check out. Otherwise an additional service charge of 25% will be applied on top of the refueling cost.

8. Vehicle check-in:

Hirer must inform Europcar of his intention to return the vehicle at another premise or at another station, and must define the date and time.

9. Driver Qualification & Accepted Driving License:

Any driver, of age above 21 years, holding an accepted and valid driving license of at least 1 year old, is entitled to drive our rented vehicle/s under comprehensive insurance coverage. Qatar driving license is a must for Qatar residents where those who are on visit visa must have an accepted driving license. GCC Residents can drive with their GCC Driving License.

10. Payment & Deposit:

Payment terms are negotiated at the time of rental where credit card payments are preferable. Rental charges will be collected directly at the time of vehicle’s check-out, and a pre-authorization. Credit Cards Accepted for pre-Authorization: American Express, Diners club, Master card and Visa Card and the minimum validity should be 2 Months from the hire date. 

Deposit amount of QAR1000/- will be blocked on client’s credit card to cover possible traffic fines; the same will be automatically released in 2-3 weeks’ time as long as no Traffic Fine/s gets recorded on client’s rental. (Europcar Qatar is not responsible for any difference between the amount blocked & the amount released resulting from the fluctuation of foreign exchange rates and other possible banking charges).

11. Delivery / Collection of vehicle:

Delivery / Collection of vehicle is Free within Doha City during office hours but chargeable QAR50/- per rental after office hours and outside Doha City

12. Airport Surcharge:

Airport Surcharge of QAR 40/- will be applicable to any Rental starting at Airport or returned at Airport

13. Breakdown Service:

We offer 24/7 hours breakdown service. Clients have to contact # +974 40108888/ +974 55849587 to receive help.

14. Additional Equipment Charges:

Additional charges are applicable for Nav/GPS system, child/baby seats, or any other additional requirements.

Child /Baby/Toddler Seat QAR 30/- per unit a day or 150/- maximum per rental/ month. Navigation System QAR 30/- per unit a day or QAR 150/- per rental/ a month.

15. Additional Drivers:

Additional driver can only be accepted following submission of his/her relevant driving licenses and passport copies, and subject to Europcar rules of “qualified driver” in accordance with Qatar traffic law. The same will incur extra cost of QAR.25/day/driver with a maximum amount of QAR.100/driver/ Rental Contract (daily, weekly, monthly), with a maximum number of 2 additional drivers.

16. Value Added Tax (VAT):

Government taxes & other levies are not Applicable in Qatar

17. Driving outside Qatar & Off-Road Driving:

Customer is NOT permitted to take the rented Vehicle out of the state of QATAR Our vehicles are not permitted to be used for Safari/Fun-drive; client will be held liable to pay all damage, necessary repairs & towing charges if he failed to adhere with the same.

18. Non-Smoking Policy

Smoking is prohibited inside Europcar vehicles and offenders are responsible to pay a penalty charge of QAR 200/- to Europcar against violating the same.

19. Usage of Vehicles:

Hirer is responsible to check the oil, water & tire pressure of his rented vehicle, Hirer is committed that he won’t allow anybody to drive the rented vehicle unless been authorized By Europcar Qatar. Hirer undertakes that neither he nor any of the listed additional drivers will use the vehicle in 
* Pushing, Pulling or Towing objects,
* Races & Fun Drive, Rough Roads
* Desert Safaris,
* Teach Driving,
* Rent the vehicle without Europcar permission.
No adherence with the same, will held
him liable to pay fees resulting from any damages, penalties, fines & dues

20. Vehicle Check-out & Check-in

Europcar Qatar will conduct a vehicle check -out & check–in at the time of handing over or receiving the vehicle to ensure the conditions and status of the rented vehicles.

21. Guaranteed reservation Policy

(a). The Europcar rental location (check out location) is required to provide, within a given period, the requested vehicle category as confirmed at time of booking and subject to the renter meeting rental requirements.

(b). A confirmed reservation is guaranteed for one of the following periods until the closing time of the rental location on the given date:

       For one (1) hour after the due check out time for the standard level of service,

       For two (2) hours for the Ready service at a Ready rental location,

       For three (3) hours for First cardholders at any rental location, For no limit of hours for any prepaid booking.

       (c). If you prepaid at the booking stage we will not refund any unused prepaid daily rental or

       (d). If, at the booking stage, you opted to pay-on-arrival and you return the Vehicle early then,

Early Return 

If you return the Vehicle before the return date and time stated on the Rental Agreement then the Hire Period will end when you return the Vehicle to the Europcar Qatar Branch and hand the Vehicle keys to a Europcar agent.

       Late Return

We allow you a grace period of 120 minutes after the expiry time and date of the Hire Period shown on the Rental Agreement in which to return the Vehicle to us.
